Hugh Turpin

Hugh Turpin is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Culture and Evolution at Brunel University London. His doctoral work synthesised quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a causal and descriptive account of the emergence and proliferation of a new Irish normative stance involving the overt rejection of Catholicism. His first book, Unholy Catholic Ireland: Religious hypocrisy, secular morality, and Irish irreligion will be published in September 2022 by Stanford University Press.
