Understanding Unbelief in the RE Classroom

RE Today

RE Today is a registered charity committed to the teaching of the major world faiths and non-religious worldviews. Their project engaged with teachers of 11-14-year-olds in the UK to develop materials to bring the findings of the Understanding Unbelief programme into the classroom. These resources have been designed to help pupils address questions about the nature and diversity of the wide range of beliefs and commitments of so-called unbelievers, including a deeper understanding of atheism and a wider understanding of less discussed outlooks such as agnosticism, going beyond and stereotypes to demonstrate the diversity of experiences and outlooks within the broader ‘unbelieving’ population.
