Aubrey Wade
Aubrey Wade is a British photographer based in Berlin with a special focus on portraiture. He is known for his sensitive approach to long-term documentary projects exploring issues around identity, (un)belief, migration and relationships, often working collaboratively to incorporate words, pictures and audio in a research-based practice.
He believes strongly in connecting people’s stories with audiences beyond the media, where amplification of political differences increasingly separates people from one another. To achieve this he has co-produced bespoke exhibitions for major public venues in Berlin, Rome, Vienna, Paris and London.
In addition, he is regularly commissioned by individuals and organisations worldwide and his photographs appear in leading publications, including CNN, TIME, BBC, the British Journal of Photography, The Guardian, The New York Times, Newsweek, the Fader, the Financial Times, Zeit online, and many others.
